Fenerbahce defeated Anadolu Efes for Round 3 of the EuroLeague regular season and it all happened thanks to a particularly… “angry” defensive approach, according to Zeljko Obradovic.

“Aggressiveness defensively [in the third quarter was the key to the victory]. We changed our defense,” said Zoc. “This gave us a chance to run and play a different kind of game. This was the key. We played defensively much better. Where we must improve is offense. We need to move the ball much faster. Sometimes we don’t know to be in good position offensively, to have good distance. These are things that will help us in the future. We have quality players that know how to do this.”

Before the game, Obradovic received the “Alexander Gomelsky Coach of the Year” award for winning last season’s EuroLeague.

“I have to say something personal. I was given the “Coach of the Year” award. I’d first like to thank the club for this award. Then I’d like to thank my staff and my players. This isn’t a success you can achieve on your own. We all have our share of this success.”\
