With sights to the World Cup Qualifiers, the Croatian Basketball Federation announced the hiring of coach Skelin on Saturday.
In the press conference of the announcement, Stojko Vranković, President of the Croatian Basketball Association said the following:
“First of all, as president of Federation, I would like to give my full support to Dario Šaric. He’s not only a top player, but a top guy, a great professional and he is the pearl and the future of our team. I would also like to thank Aleksandar Petrovic. Yesterday we had a conversation that ended very well and now we are in the situation that we had to make a new step.”
The new NT head coach continued by saying: “It is an extraordinary honor and pleasure that I have just been chosen for the Croatian selection. Of course I realize what the weight of this role is and I’m clear that there is another bigger obligation in front of me.”
