In a press conference about the Greek national teams Tsagkaronis and Missas commented on Giannis’ case and whether or not he’ll be able to join the team for the World Cup Qualifiers windows in summer, during a press conference of the Federation.
As Tsagronis said: “From the Federation’s perspective, Giannis was and still is an NT player. We will put on a great effort for him to join us. But it still depends on the NBA, which interferes with the European championships. We didn’t have Giannis this summer, some other teams had their best players and went far.”
Kostas Missas added: “We’ve been through a lot with Giannis. It was a big loss for us in EuroBasket. I think that next on Giannis will be able to play in the Greek national team. Can’t go into further detail though.”
