It’s about time for one of the biggest showcases in European basketball, at least judging by last year’s standards.

In February of 2017, VTB United League set the bar really high with its fascinating first ever All-Star game. Now it’s time for Saint Petersburg to challenge the Sochi’s event.

The northern capital of Russia is historically in love with basketball and VTB League management is obviously expecting another sold-out arena to fulfill fantastic atmosphere. With 24 hours before the event, there are only a few tickets up for grabs.

Apart from great basketball action, the fans will be able to get the whole package: a half-hour performance from Russian hip-hop legend Basta, another appearance from TV star Ivan Urgant who will anchor the whole event and a few more show elements including even some local ballet performance.

But we’re reasonably mostly interested in basketball action which is destined to be the most admirable on this side of Atlantic Ocean:

  • Sergio Rodriguez to lead the team of World Stars and perform in 3-point contest
  • Tyler Honeycutt is expected to come up with something special for the dunk contest
  • Very much in-form Shved, Karasev and Kulagin on the same team for the first time since summer of 2016
  • Plenty of more

All in all VTB League All-Star should become one of the highlights of the European season and Eurohoops.net will be in Saint Petersburg to cover every bit of it. Make sure not to miss out!
