AEK completed the first signing for the upcoming season, with no other than Jawad Williams.
The 33-year old American forward was officially announced by the club, with a contract for the upcoming season. He arrived from Gaziantep, Turkey where he averaged 12.4 points and 5.1 rebounds. He increased his numbers in the quarterfinals against Anadolu Efes, when he scored 14.5 points and grabbed 5.5. rebounds per game.
After finalizing the deal with Williams, the club wants to add another Gaziantep player: Experienced point guard Earl Calloway. The two sides are already in advanced talks and we might have an agreement really soon.
It is obvious, that Jure Zdovc, who had coached both Williams and Calloway in the Turkish team, before moving to AEK picks player who knows quite well and trusts in their strengths.
