A total of six NBA teams are interested on Giannis Bourousis and as Eurohoops can confirm the Washinton Wizards and the San Antonio Spurs are two of the suitors.
No offers can be made before the 1st of July, but the season of Bourousis who was the MVP of Liga Endesa and the best center in Euroleague have turned many heads in the States. It’s a well known fact that the Spurs tried to get Bourousis at the summer of 2009, but at the time the Greek center hesitated and didn’t leave Europe.
This time things can be different and Bourousis seems ready to give the NBA a shot. In any case, at this point the only option in Europe for the player seems to be Panathinaikos. Τhere’s no chance for him to re-sign with Baskonia and the question is what he will get on the table by the NBA suitors.
While there’s also an offer from China and interest from Turkey, if he stays in Europe, then Bourousis will return to Greece and play for Panathinaikos.
