Victor Claver is now officially a player of Barcelona. As the club announced, the Spanish forward signed a three-year contract with the Catalans, after his new team reached an agreement with Valencia for acquiring his rights.
Barcelona’s announcement came almost immediately after the one of Valencia, regarding the transfer of Claver’s rights to the Blaugrana.
Signing the 27-year old international Spaniard became a major priority for Barcelona after coach Giorgos Bartzokas arrived in the team. While Claver was previously extremely close to Panathinaikos, Barcelona moved quickly in order to obtain his rights from Valencia by paying the necessary buy-out and claim the player as its own.
