In his fourth participation in Olympic Games, which probably also is going to be his last, Pau Gasol already made history.

The Spanish star is the third all time scorer of the competition after the win over Lithuania. He scored 23 points and that was enough for a total of 545 points, surpassing the 537 points of Brazilian legend Wlamir Marques.

Gasol started the tournament in the fifth place, with 467 points, but in the premiere against Croatia left behind him Sergei Belov (475) to be placed fourth. However, Gasol can’t touch Austrlian legend Andrew Gaze (789 p.) and Brazilian Oscar Schmidt (1093).
