The first game of the season for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli league ended up being an overtime road win over Ironi Nahariya. The Tel Aviv club prevailed 97-93 (88-88) thanks to Andrew Goudelock.

With two minutes left, Maccabi was trailing by 11 points (84-73) but thanks to Goudelock who finished the game with 21 points in 21 minutes and made a three at the buzzer almost by half court to force overtime the day was saved. Devin Smith, Sylvain Landsberg and Sonny Weems didn’t play due to injuries, every one knew that things were going to be tough and in the end it was all about Goudelock.

D.J Seeley added 16 points for the winners, while Guy Pnini and Maik Zirbes had 14 points each. From the losing side Gilbert Brown scored an amazing sum of 38 points and Marquis Teague, brother of Jeff Teague, added 18 points.
