Since the one-month contract of Pierre Jackson is expiring, Cedevita didn’t wait long to find his replacement, announcing the transfer of American point guard Ryan Boatright.

Boatright, 23, spent the previous season in Italy playing for Orlandina Basket. He averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in Serie A, making an impression during his debut season in Europe.

He participated in the Summer League with the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 5.2 points and 2 assists per game before signing with Guangzhou Long-Lions in China in July.

Boatright is expected to join the team’s practices this evening, after passing the medical examinations, in order to be ready for the crucial upcoming Eurocup game against Lietkabelis in Lithuania.

The Croatian team marches to this important battle in top notch shape, having won the ABA League “Zagreb derby” against Cibona 100 – 80.
