The coach of the visiting team is the first to talk in a Euroleague press conference, but this changed after the game of Zalgiris Kaunas against Brose Baskets.

Sarunas Jasikevicious spoke first and Andrea Trinchieri appeared almost 30 minutes late. As he said: “I apologize for my delay. The reason for what happened on the court is simple: 42-21 rebounds. We were blown out. You can’t survive on the road only with good percentages. We tried, but in every possession we lost the rebounds, we made a stupid turnover. That’s why it’s hard to survive in this season’s Euroleague.”

When asked, however, what he said to his players in the locker room, he was not eager to answer: “Is this a serious question? A locker room is like Las Vegas. What happens in the locker rooms, stays in the locker rooms.”

As for the player who made all the difference for Zalgiris, the Italian coach picked Kevin Pangos: “We were very poor against Pangos. We won the first and the last quarter. But between them, Pangos killed us. We couldn’t read the situation and adjust. We had a lack of concentration.”
