CSKA Moscow is expecting its “Splash Bros” duo returning to action since both Nando De Colo and Milos Teodosic are ready for boarding ahead of the game against Barcelona for the 12th Round of the EuroLeague regular season.
As the Russians’ assistant coach Darryl Middleton said to Catalan radio show Basketaldia. “All our players are well. De Colo and Milos Teodosic will play on Friday.”
The defending champions are looking forward to extending their winning record to 11-1, while their hosts crave a recovery after a series of defeats that have brought them to 5-6.
When discussing the upcoming opponents of CSKA, Middleton commented that, “The situation in the team is not good but I’m sure it will change. They have a good coach (Giorgos Bartzokas). I’m surprised that they are struggling. It is difficult to cope with so many injured players.”
He also talked about wining the EuroLeague last season. “It was a dream to win it as a coach after winning it as a player (in 2002 with Panathinaikos and Dimitris Itoudis coaching him as an assistant). Repeating it is quite difficult since there are lots of matches and all teams are tough.”
