After announcing his retirement last July, 40 years old Rimantas Kaukenas changed his mind and he will play again until the end of the season with Reggio Emilia.

The Italian club confirmed the decision of the Lithuanian guard who played for Reggio Emilia from 2013 until the end of last season. Kaukenas, former player of Seton Hall, started his professional career at 2000 with Hapoel Galil Elion in Israel and player among others for Siena and Cantu in Italy, Lietuvos Rytas and Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania and Real Madrid and Baskonia in Spain.

He won the Italian league five times with Siena, twice the Lithuanian champions title and a bronze medal in Eurobasket 2017 with the Lithuanian national team.
