Igor Kokoskov is going to leave the bench of the Georgian national team and Greek Ilias Zouros is the main candidate to replace him.
Zouros has been a head coach in the Euroleague level and also of the senior men’s Greek national basketball team. In 2010 he was Eurocup’s coach of the year and he has also been in charge of Olympiacos, Anadolu Efes and Zalgiris Kaunas, winning the Lithuanian championship, the Lithuanian cup and the Baltic league.
