Narrow wins keep both Crvena Zvezda mts and Buducnost VOLI unscratched

Two teams, Crvena Zvezda mts and Buducnost VOLI, remain undefeated following Round 4 of the ABA League.

Split – Igokea 78-79

Four late free throws by Anthony Clemmons lifted himself to 13 points and his side to the road victory in a back-and-forth contest. Nikola Jovanovic put up 14 points and Edin Atic 12.

The Croatian team’s Pavle Marcinkovic got the game-high 17 points.

Mega Soccerbet – Crvena Zvezda 73 – 76

Jordan Loyd scored 19 points including two key free throws in the final seconds, as Crvena Zvezda beat Mega Soccerbet on the road to remain unbeaten. Marko Jagodiz-Kuridza added 13 points for Red Star while Langston Hall scored the go-ahead free throws with the score 70 – 70 and 56 seconds to play. He finished with nine points.

20-year-old forward/center Filip Petrusev was the standout from Mega Leks with career-highs 22 points and 11 rebounds. Marko Simonovic dropped 16 points.

Buducnost VOLI – FMP 77-76

The Montenegrin squad just barely survived the comeback effort from the feisty FMP squad and it was in no small part thanks to Justin Cobbs who banked 24 points.

Nikola Ivanovic added 19 and Melvin Ejim 12 points. For FMP, Nemanja Nenadic scored 20 in addition to Stefan Lazarevic and Filip Covic’s 12 points each.

Partizan NIS – Cedevita Olimpija 86-77

It was a balanced game throughout three and a half quarters but Partizan made a 16-0 run to turn the tables, go up in double-digits and seal the win.

Codi Miller-McIntyre led the way with 17 points while Rashawn Thomas added 13 along with 13 boards and Nemanja Gordic 11 points.

For Cedevita Olimpija, Jaka Blazic went off for 24 points followed by Edo Muric with 13. Mikael Hopkins logged a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.

Koper Primorska – Zadar 55-77

Dominik Mavra threw in 21 points behind five made threes landing the Croatian club on the “W” column for the first time this season. Domagoj Vukovic added 14 points.

Captain Luka Voncina highlighted the Slovenian team with 19 points.

Krka – Cibona 63-80

Facing an 0-3 start, promising youngster Roko Prkacin made things happen for Cibona with 23 points behind 8/12 field goals including two threes. Mateo Dreznjak’s contribution amounted to 14 points.

For the hosts, Rok Stipcevic scored a team-high 13 points.
