New Partizan head coach Saso Filipovski enjoys victory in debut

Gameday 6 of ABA League will feature one game less than the initial schedule as the clash between Buducnost VOLI and Cedevita Olimpija has been postponed due to COVID-related reasons.

Zvezda leads the standings with 6-0 followed by Buducnost, Mega, Igokea, and Mornar Bar who logged four wins so far.

Borac – Mega Soccerbet 83-97

Filip Petrusev was just recently named the MVP for October but the young Draft prospect doesn’t seem to plan on slowing down any time soon. He banked 25 points on 8-9 shooting while Marko Simonovic followed with 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Dayshoon Scoochie Smith added ten points and 12 assists while for Borac, Ivan Gavrilovic had 14 points in addition to Nikola Kocovic and Nenad Nerandzic’s 12 each.

Krka – Mornar Bar 74-84

Taylor Smith with 22 points behind 9/10 twos pushed his team to a 4-1 start. Nemanja Vranjes added 17 points and Kenny Gabriel 16.

Nejc Baric posting 19 points plus six assists, was not enough for the Slovenian outlet.

Partizan NIS – Zadar 78-63

In Saso Filipovski’s debut, the Serbian club got back on the win column. Nemanja Dangubic and Nikola Jankovic shared a game-high 15 points.

Both Dominik Mavra and Chinanu Onuaku put up 13 points for the losing side.

Koper Primorska – Crvena Zvezda mts 72-84

Ognjen Dobric and Taylor Rochestie led the red-and-white squad with 16 points each while Corey Walden added 15 and Johnny O’Bryant 13 points.

For Primorska, Jurij Macura logged 17 points and 17 boards followed by Urban Durnik’s 14 and Matej Rojc’s 12 points.

Split – Cibona 77-74

Blaz Mesicek and Marko Lukovic paved the way for the winner with 16 points each while Sani Campara scored 14.

For Cibona, Mateo Dreznjak and Roko Prkacin had 14 points each.
