Marko Simonovic had a solid outing for Mega in the close win over Primorska

Crvena Zvezda leads the ABA League standings prior to Round 8 with a 7-0 record while Mega follows with 6-2 and Mornar with 6-1 after wins this week.

Borac – Krka Novo mesto 86-90

Jure Skific banked in 26 points on 11-13 shooting including 4-5 from deep while Adin Vrabac added 14 points in addition to Jan Kosi and Luka Lapornik’s 12 each.

For Borac, Nemanja Todorovic scored 24 and Nikola Kocovic 18 points.

Split – Mornar Bar 87-95

Jacob Pullen was on fire for Mornar in the come-from-behind win with 27 points while Isaiah Whitehead added 14 and Taylor Smith 13 points.

For Split, Marko Lukovic scored 21 and Ilija Djokovic 16 points, as did Blaz Mesicek.

Koper Primorska – Mega Soccerbet 69-71

The 44th overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft in Marko Simonovic scored 15 points while also grabbing 12 rebounds for the winning side. Karlo Matkovic followed 12 points and 14 boards while Milenko Tepic scored 11 points.

For Primorska, Luka Voncina banked in 22 points in addition to Erjon Kastrati’s 21.

Buducnost VOLI – Cibona 87-68

Fedor Zugic, 17, dialed in 6/7 threes on his way to a career-high 20 points for the Montenegrin club upping its record to 5-0. Justin Cobbs added 16 points.

For the losing side, Filip Bundovic attached himself to a team-high 18 points.

Cedevita Olimpija – Igokea 103-92

Kendrick Perry scored 27 points, also produced nine assists with the club based in Ljubliana going up to 5-1 thanks to the overtime triumph. Captain Jaka Blazic offered 22 points of his own.

For the visiting side, Antabia Waller forced the extra five minutes and stood out with 17 points.

Partizan NIS – Crvena Zvezda mts 85-86

Jordan Loyd produced 18 points and Corey Walden 16 for the narrow victory. Rashawn Thomas scored 19 for the hosts.
