Despite Cedevita Olimpija placing a strong bid for the win, Crvena Zvezda mts gets the job done by a wide margin

Crvena Zvezda mts defeated Cedevita Olimpija, 79-64, on Sunday.

Luka Mitrovic and Austin Hollins shared a team-high 13 points in the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season Round 4 fixture. Nikola Ivanovic had 12 points and Nikola Kalinic chipped in 11 points, while Ognjen Kuzmic posted a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double.

The visitors jumped to a 24-13 lead and further distanced themselves to 16 points early in the second quarter, but were down, 40-39, at the break. The team coached by Dejan Radonjic dominated the fourth quarter, 23-9, to secure the W.

The Serbian powerhouse improved to 3-1 overcoming the game-high 16 points scored by former Crvena Zvezda star Jaka Blazic. The Ljubljana team was forced down to 2-2.

Back in the EuroLeague after the 2-2 start, ALBA Berlin will be visiting Belgrade on Friday. The Slovenian team will be on the road to start the new 7DAYS EuroCup season and face Gran Canaria on Tuesday.

In other ABA action on Sunday, former Central Connecticut standout, Kyle Vinales dropped 37 points for SC Derby in the double-overtime win, 101-94, over Split. The newcomers upped their record to 2-2 forcing the hosts to 0-4.

On another note, Bryce Jones scored 27 points, including four clutch free throws, as FMP edged Mornar Barsko zlato, 83-81, to improve to 3-1.

Buducnost VOLI and Cibona are also 3-1, behind ABA leader Partizan NIS at 4-0.
