Red Star keeps on rolling in ABA League.

Crvena Zvezda beat Cibona Zagreb 86 – 72 at home to register its seventh consecutive win in ABA League and remain the top-placed team in the standings at 9 – 1.

Nikola Ivanovic scored 15 points and dished out six assists while Nikola Kalinic had 15 points as well for Zvezda. Austin Hollins scored 13 and Ognjen Dobric dropped 12 points for the winning side that recovered from a 15 – 19 deficit to close halftime up 40 – 31 and remain in control for the rest of the game.

Roko Prkacin finished with 16 points for Cibona while Amar Gegic had 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The Croatian team is now sixth with a 5-5 record.

On Sunday (5/12), Partizan Belgrade edged Igokea 70 – 68 thanks to a late run. Zeljko Obradovic‘s team has the same record as Zvezda but the latter have the tiebreaking advantage after their win over the Black and Whites.
