Partizan Belgrade launched the ABA League semifinals by defeating Buducnost 82 – 66 and taking the lead in the best-of-three series. Zeljko Obradovic‘s players can get a ticket to the Finals Sunday (15/5) in Podgorica unless Buducnost forces a return to Belgrade.

Zach LeDay led an overall balanced Partizan offense with 19 points. Kevin Punter added 13 points and Mathias Lessort posted 11 points plus nine rebounds for a Partizan team that finished the game with 24 assists and was very efficient with 60.6 percent on 2-pointers.

Buducnost, on the other hand, wasn’t as effective and struggled to keep up with its opponents, shooting 37.9 percent from the field. DJ Seeley had 16 points and Justin Cobbs posted 14 points plus five rebounds.
