Stands will be partially empty for the next two Crvena Zvezda’s games in the ABA League

The management of the ABA league fined Crvena Zvezda mts 7,000 euros for interrupting the ABA league match against Partizan Mozzart Bet and ordered the defending champions to play the next two games in front of partially closed stands.

In summary, about half of the Aleksandar Nikolić hall will be empty for matches against Mornar and Borac Mozzart.

The Belgrade derby was interrupted after fans threw lighters and coins on the court, with one of them hitting the timekeeper’s back. The Partizan players and the head coach were also the targets of insults from the stands.

Referees returned to the locker room in the final moments of the first period. Only after a portion of the Crvena Zvezda‘s fans was evacuated the game continued, resulting in a 90-74 win for the hosts.

Crvena Zvezda and Partizan will meet this Thursday again, but for the first time in the EuroLeague. Partizan will be the host this time, and as the club officially reported, Stark Arena has been sold out.
