Before traveling to Spain to face Valencia in Round 17 of the EuroLeague on January 6, Crvena Zvezda got the eighth win in a row in the ABA League, beating Split 72-63 on the road.
Ben Bentil was probably the best player on Dusko Ivanovic’s side. The former Milan big had 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Next to him, Filip Petrusev added 9 points. Facundo Campazzo played its second game with the Serbian team in ABA, finishing with 8 points and 4 assists in 22:47 minutes on the court.
Luca Vildoza, who won the EuroLeague MVP of the Month for December, missed the game after suffering a hamstring injury against FC Barcelona that could force him to stay out for one month. Hassan Martin (knee) and Nikola Ivanovic (ribs) were out as well.
Elsewhere in Round 13 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, Partizan Mozzart Bet routed Zadar, 114-77. Young forward Tristan Vukcevic was the top performer punching in a career-high 25 points alongside nine rebounds, four assists, and one block in 23 minutes. Up next for head coach Zeljko Obradovic is a home EuroLeague game opposite AS Monaco Thursday.
Seventh consecutive win in ABA for Cedevita Olimpija storming past Mega MIS, 96-82, earlier Monday. Yogi Ferrell and Josh Adams put up 21 points each in Ranko Zeravica Sports Hall. The hosts were led by French Malcolm Cazalon setting his personal best for the 2022-23 season at 22 points.
