Parting with a 13-game winning streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League is far from ideal for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, especially after also losing in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this week

Failing to hold on to a nine-point lead built early in the fourth quarter, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and the attached 13-game winning streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season fall at the hands of Cibona Sunday.

Croatian Borna Kapusta poured 24 points, a new personal best for the 2022-23 season, leading his side to the win, 85-81, in the Drazen Petrovic Basketball Hall. Kresimir Radovcic chipped in 17 points and seven rebounds in the tight affair of the regional league’s Round 20. Josip Sesar’s side improved to 8-12.

The visitors were forced down to 17-2, one win behind Partizan Mozzart Bet. The Belgrade rivals escaped Split with a dramatic win, Saturday.

Filip Petrusev registered a team-high 15 points in the losing effort for the team guided by Dusko Ivanovic. Luca Vildoza and Nemanja Nedovic followed with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Facundo Campazzo and Ognjen Dobric ended up with 12 points apiece. John Holland, Branko Lazic, Miroslav Raduljica, and Ben Bentil did not suit up.
