The ABA League officially imposed a sanction on Mathias Lessort for attacking Filip Petrushev. The Frenchman will not be able to play the next three games in the ABA League due to the suspension, and he will also have to pay a fine of 10,000 euros. However, the story does not end there. Partizan will file an appeal, as MozzartSport reports.

Namely, Partizan has 48 hours to file an appeal from the moment the ABA League announced the penalty. The club from Belgrade will use that right with the aim of reducing the number of games that the Frenchman will not play. The matches in question are against Cedevita Olimpija, FMP, and Igokea.

In the decision of the ABA league disciplinary judge, it is stated that there was no reason for the reaction of Mathias Lessort, which was a factor that aggravated the sanction for the French player during the sentencing.

Crvena Zvezda asked the regional league to suspend the Frenchman until the end of the season, while Filip Petrushev was also at a police station where he gave an official testimony regarding the whole case.
