The first pairing of the ABA League semifinals is completed, as Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet defeated Zadar 74-63 on the road and with a 2-0 in the quarterfinal series booked a clash with Buducnost VOLI in the next playoff round.

Dusko Ivanovic’s team didn’t shined as expected but managed to get the job done without much fuss. Luka Mitrovic led the way with 12 points and five rebounds, for a team-high PIR of 19.

Facundo Campazzo didn’t have a memorable day, but he still scored 12 points, with six rebounds and four assists. Tough, he had five turnovers, which is something you don’t see that often with the Argentinian.

The 10-day break between games left a mark on regional and Serbian champions, since only Filip Petrusev followed the mentioned duo in double-digits, finishing the match with 11 points.

For Zadara, ABA League MVP, Luka Bozic, finished the match with a game-high PIR of 26, scoring 17 points with seven rebounds, and four assists and steals. Sani Campara followed with 15, while Juan Davis added 11 in Danijel Jusup’s team’s last match in the Adriatic competition this season.

Zvezda will meet Buducnost in the semis, on the way to the record seventh title, while the other pairing is completely unknown, as the score between Ceddevita Olimpija and FMP is 1-1, while Partizan didn’t even start the quarterfinals against SC Derby, due to the EuroLeague playoffs obligations.
