Mike Tobey tied his season-high of 23 points as Crvena Zvezda crushed Cibona 84 – 56 to register another ABA League win ahead of the double-game EuroLeague week.
Tobey shot 9-11 from the field while also grabbing five rebounds for a Zvezda team that was without Nemanja Nedovic (rest). Luke Mitrovic and Yago Dos Santos contributed 11 points apiece to Zvezda’s victory that keeps the team in the first place of ABA, now at 9-1.
Domagoj Proleta scored 13 points for Cibona. The Zagreb side was unable to hold back the superior Zvezda offense, falling behind 46 – 29 at halftime and getting completely overpowered in the fourth period.
On Saturday (2/12), Partizan Belgrade made short work of FMP on the road.
