With five players scoring in double figures, Crvena Zvezda defeated SC Derby 94 – 76 to improve its ABA League record to 21 – 4 and mathematically clinch first place in the standings with one round left in the regular season.
Nemanja Nedovic led Zvezda overall with 16 points plus eight assists. Adam Hanga contributed 15 points plus six assists and Joel Bolomboy posted 15 points plus five rebounds.
Emir Hadzibegovic stood out from SC Derby with 15 points. His team dropped to 11-4.
Zvezda will now be facing Olympiacos Piraeus on Thursday (4/4) in a home game for Round 33 of the EuroLeague regular season. While the Serbian side is eliminated from playoff contention, their opponents are fighting to finish in the Top 4.
