Partizan Belgrade beat Buducnost VOLI 100 – 86 in Game 3 of the ABA League semifinals to win the series 2-1 and advance to the Finals. Zeljko Obradovic‘s team will defend its trophy against archrival Crvena Zvezda with the latter having homecourt advantage.
Aleksa Avramovic scored 20 points to pace Partizan, having 12 in the fourth period. His team trailed 53 – 60 halfway through the third quarter but then made a 11 – 0 run and then overpowered Buducnost 21 – 4 at the beginning of the fourth period to establish a double-digit lead.
James Nunnally contributed 19 points, six rebounds and five assists for Partizan while Kevin Punter scored 19. Jaleen Smith dropped 12 points and Frank Kaminsky had 10 points.
Yogi Ferrell led Buducnost with 18 points. Yoan Makoundou had 15 points and Kenan Kamenjas added 14 points.
