After the weekend, Crvena Zvezda and Partizan Belgrade will go back at it in the ABA League Finals for the third straight time, after that they respectively won in 2022 and 2023 in Game 5.

The red-and-white side advanced by beating Mega Basket, while Zeljko Obradovic‘s side took down Buducnost 2-1 in the Semi-Finals of the competition, winning 100-86 in Game 3.

In the post-game, the former Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana’s guard Yogi Ferrell, who had an 18-point losing effort, criticized the integrity of the competition. “As usual the ABA League referees have to cheat for the same two teams to go to the championship. There is no integrity with this league”, he said.

The former Dallas Mavericks point guard is playing for the third season in the ABA League after spending time from 2021 to 2023 with the Slovenian side and signing to Buducnost this year.

Since moving to the Montenegrin team, which also plays in the BKT EuroCup, the 31-year-old player has been averaging 13.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in this year’s ABA League.
