In only their first participation in the ABA League, Dubai Basketball managed to reach the Semi-Finals of the competition, overcoming Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in the best-of-three Quarter-Finals.
Winning Game 1 on the line and losing Game 2 in Slovenia, the team from the Middle East won 85-76 at the Coca-Cola Arena in the decisive matchup, getting over the BKT EuroCup representative.
Awudu Abass finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds in the victory, assisted by both Nate Mason (18 points over 6/8 from the field and 5/5 at the line) and Davis Bertans (12 points).

On the losing side, Aleksej Nikolic finished with a 13-point losing effort after dropping 30 in Game 2. Brynton Lemar and DJ Stewart concluded by combining 22 points. Danilo Tasic had 14.
Following this victory, Dubai has now reached Partizan Belgrade in the ABA League Semi-Finals, as the Serbian black-and-white team overcame Spartak Office Shoes with a 2-0 sweep.
In the other Semi-Finals of this year’s ABA League, Crvena Zvezda and Buducnost VOLI will meet up against each other after respectively beating BC Igokea and KK Mega.
