Crvena Zvezda hosted Buducnost VOLI in the Belgrade Arena to avoid an early elimination from contention in the ABA League Playoffs, playing Game 2 of the Semi-Finals in front of their fans.
Following the Montenegrin team’s 34-point win in Game 1, amid a long interruption due to throwing objects, which led to a fine for Buducnost, the Serbian side got their revenge.
Once the series moved back to Belgrade, Crvena Zvezda won 100-81, locking Game 3.
Filip Petrusev was the protagonist in every aspect of such a victory, leading the team in scoring with 20 points and 5 rebounds, but also getting ejected in the third quarter after committing two technical fouls.
Nemanja Nedovic, Ognjen Dobric, and Isaiah Canaan all added 13 points for the red-and-whites; on the losing side, Juwan Morgan scored 18 points.
Just like in the other series between BC Dubai and Partizan Belgrade, Game 3 will be needed to find out who will end up playing in the ABA League Finals.
