Crvena Zvezda reacted after its midweek Euroleague defeat, by retaining its perfect record in ABA thanks to a 67 – 56 victory on the road against Krka Novo Mesto.
Red Star played an excellent defensive game, building up its lead mainly in the second period after outscoring its hosts 23 – 15.
What is kinda impressive, is the fact that although the offensive output of coach Radonjic’s players was not that prolific, they finished the match with 21 assists. Quite a number for the 67 points scored.
Stefan Jovic was the top performer of his team with 14 points and 7 assists, while Marko Guduric (11 points, 5 rebounds 4 assists) and Branko Lazic (10 points) also scored in double-digit numbers.
Only Marko Lukovic (24 points, 5 rebounds) and Sandi Cebular (12 points) were dangerous from the Slovenian side.
