It was an up-tempo affair that suited more to Crvena Zvezda‘s game as they prevailed over Partizan 100-84 in the last match of Day 7 of the ABA League.
An offensive festival by Zvezda propelled them to a comfortable win. They shot 52,4% from the field leaving Partizan little room to answer back.
And then… there was an outstanding Milko Bjelica who finished with 29 points, six rebounds and 35 PIR.
The ABA reigning champions shot the lights off in the first half hitting 8 three points shots out of 15 attempts. That secured them a 53-42 lead at the break as they hold onto that until the end.
In the second half, it was all about Milko Bjelica. Partizan’ bigs just couldn’t keep up with him as he scored 18 points in that period. The Montenegrin player also had a help from teammates James Feldeine who had 15 points and 7 assists and Taylor Rochestie who added 14 points and 7 assists.
Patrick Miller’s double-double with 16 points and 11 assists as well didn’t help Partizan to overcome Zvezda. Novica Velickovic had a great game with 18 points and Nigel Cole Williams-Goss scored 17 but it was just not enough for the black and whites.
Zvezda moved up to a 5-2 record as Partizan fell to a 4-3.
