Crvena Zvezda is on a roll as they won eight games in a row in the ABA League. Their last victim was Mega Bemax as Zvezda prevailed on the road 90-85 improving their record to 11-2.
Mega won three out of four quarters tonight, but that wasn’t enough for them to win the game in which the two teams shot 77 free throws combined.
After being down by 12 (19-7) in the middle of the first quarter Mega bounced back with a 12-0 run and got a 25-24.
It didn’t take too much for Zvezda to overtake the lead in the second quarter building a comfortable lead after the first half 51-38.
The Key: The second quarter set the tone as Zvezda run over Mega in that period 27-13.
Mega tried to react and with Stefan Fundic hitting one of two free throws Mega cut the lead to four (68-64) in the last period of the game.
Zvezda didn’t panic and closed the game by winning it with the final score being 90-85.
The Star: James Feldeine led his team with a game-high 24 points. Taylor Rochestie followed him with 15 points and 8 assists.
Not enough: Aleksandar Lazic had a strong double-double performance for Mega with 17 points and 15 boards, but that went to waste.
With this loss Mega fall down to a 4-9 record. On Saturday Cedevita survived a thriller game against Zadar thanks to Roko Leni Ukic.
