With three games remaining for the completion of the ABA League regular season, Partizan needed three wins and also needed Mornar Bar to lose all their games in order to advance to the playoffs.

While Mornar lost against Cedevita today, they were the ones to check their postseason ticket, since Partizan failed to conquer Ljubljana. Petrol Olimpija won a thriller after an extra five minutes 89-87.

The hosts made an 8-3 run in the last minute of the overtime and grabbed a win that put Partizan out of the Play-Offs race.

After a minimal lead in the first half (37-36) Partizan stepped up in the third period. They won the third quarter 25-16 building a 10-point lead (62-52). It looked that Partizan will close the game without problems.

With a 7-0 run at the start of the last quarter, the hosts bounced back making the game interesting again. With 30 seconds left in the game, the two teams were tied at 77-77. Vaughn took a two-point jump shot and he missed as the game went to the extra 5 minutes.

Greg Horvat led Olimpija with 22 points and 4 assists while Nigel Williams-Goss’s huge game couldn’t save Partizan. Williams-Goss had game-high 23 points and 7 assists, but that wasn’t enough.

With this loss, Partizan falls to a 10-10 record, while Olimpija moved up to an 8-12.
