Crvena Zvezda MTS Belgrade prevailed against Mornar Bar in the third semifinals game with an 88-69 win and advanced to the ABA League finals where they’ll defend their trophy. Despite the end-time result, things didn’t go as smoothly for Red Star throughout the game.

Although it looked like Zvezda might grab a clean victory, Mornar tried to make a comeback in the third period with a 17-6 run in seven minutes reducing the margin to only two points (58-56). But the hosts didn’t allow more. They answered with a 10-0 run of their own setting things back to how they were and leaving nothing to chance until the end.

Ogjnen Dobric led the winning side with 19 points (5/6 from behind the 3-point line) while Taylor Rochestie added 18. On the other side, Nemanja Vranjes’ 21 points weren’t enough.

Crvena Zvezda will meet Buducnost VOLI in the finals which will be played in a best of five games format (2-2-1). Due to being first in the regular season, Zvezda will have the home-court advantage. The first game is scheduled for Monday 9th of April in Belgrade.
