Buducnost VOLI (photo) faced Krka, the ABA League second division champions, and the difference between the Slovenian side and the hosts was more than obvious. The defending champions of the Adriatic League got an easy 86-64 win which concluded the first day of action in the Adriatic League with Earl Clark doing a bit of everything (12 p., 6 r., 2 bl.).

Crvena Zvezda also started the season with a win, however, it was Partizan which turned heads with the 87-84 road win against Cedevita.
