Andrea Trinchieri probably couldn’t have imagined a more ideal debut with Partizan Belgrade.

Andrea Trinchieri’s debut as the head coach of Partizan Belgrade was combined with a win. Behind the performances of Rade Zagorac and Vanja Marinkovic, Partizan beat the previously undefeated in ABA League Mega Bemax 81 – 74 on the road and got its first victory after six straight losses in all competitions.

Zagorac, a former Mega Bemax player, dropped 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Vanja Marinkovic notched 17 points and five boards. Partizan had the upper hand thanks to a dynamic first quarter (15 – 24) and remained up for the remainder of the match.

Goga Bidatze had a powerful double-double of 28 points/11 rebounds but he was the only Mega player in double figures. This result dropped Mega to 1-4 while Partizan improved to 3-3.
