Olympiacos GM Christos Stavropoulos and Marketing Director Nikos Lepeniotis met today in Zagreb with ABA League director Kresimir Novosel.

Olympiacos expressed their interest to play in the ABA League, but the official statement on this matter and the decision of the league will be announced after the next ABA League General Assembly, which will be held after the end of the 2018-19 season.

Olympiacos seems more than interested in joining ABA but the details of a possible deal will be discussed after the general assembly of the league. Still, the current talks of the two sides touched specific financial, marketing and logistics issues.

Meanwhile, the team suffered a loss against Peristeri (81-76) on Day 23 of Greek League with the squad protesting for the referees.

Coach David Blatt went straight to the locker room without stopping for the post-game flash interview, however, he was present in the press conference without mentioning any official complaint about the calls made in the game.
