Olympiacos sends official request to join the ABA League

Olympiacos sent an official letter to all 12 ABA League clubs which will be deciding whether the Greek powerhouse should join the competition at the General Assembly on May 24.

There has been a lot of discussion in the previous months about Olympiacos‘ intention to participate in the ABA League and on Sunday (5/5) the club has sent an official letter to all 12 clubs which own the league.

The letter informed the clubs of Olympiacos‘ decision while asking for their positive vote as both sides could benefit from a potential collaboration. The matter will be discussed at the ABA League General Assembly which has been scheduled for May 24 in Banja Luka.

Further to our letter dated March 7th, 2019, we would hereby like to inform you regarding Olympiacos‘ decision to participate in ABA League and ask for your positive vote in the forthcoming General Assembly.

It is undisputable that, during the past years, ABA League has made great steps in establishing itself as one of the best-known basketball competitions in Europe.

For this exact reason, we are confident that, given Olympiacos’ recognized brand name, as well the expertise and vast experience of our staff, we are in the position to support efficiently your project and contribute to further growth and development of ABA League.
