The new season in ABA League began with a major upset.

ABA League newcomer Koper Primoska beat Crvena Zvezda 88 – 82 in the second quarterfinal game of the Supercup, in a manner that was easier than what the final score shows.

Marko Jagodić Kuridža scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the winning side while Lance Harris added 14 points. For Red Star, Dejan Davidovac dropped 15 points and James Gist 12 points and six rebounds.

Koper Primoska, that was promoted to the ABA League after winning the ABA League Second Division, led 41 – 51 at the beginning of the third quarter after trailing 29 – 25 at the beginning of the second period. Zvezda didn’t manage to take back control of the game and with four minutes remaining, they fell behind 86 – 69.

In the other quarterfinals game held Thursday (26/9) , Partizan Belgrade beat Mega Bemax 86 – 73 behind 21 points and four assists by Marcus Paige.
