Real Madrid finished the first leg of the Spanish ACB League regular season with a 14 – 3 record and at the top of the standings following the 87 – 72 away win over bottom-placed Estudiantes.

Jordan Mickey scored a game-high 20 points, Nicolas Laprovittola had a double-double of 11 points and 10 assists while Trey Thompkins added 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds for Real. The latter dropped 16 of his points in the first half to set the pace for the “Blancos” that led 53 – 30 at the break.

Estudiantes managed to reduce that deficit in the second half but never enough to become threatening and suffered a loss that dropped them to 4 – 13. Kenny Kadji finished with 19 points and six rebounds while Aleksa Avramovic had 14 points.

17-year-old Croatian forward Boris Tisma made his debut with the senior squad of Real Madrid, entering the game for 44 seconds.
