Barcelona expanded its streak to four games in the Spanish league by taking down Gran Canaria.

Cory Higgins paced Barcelona to an 81-65 victory against Gran Canaria on the road with his 16 points and four assists, in Round 21 of the Spanish League.

Pierre Oriola and Ante Tomic followed Higgins’ lead with 14 points each, while the Blaugranas lacked Thomas Heurtel who went out with an ankle sprain in Friday’s game vs. Olimpia Milano. Gran Canaria’s Beqa Burjanadze exited the court with a team-high performance of 13 points.

Earlier in Round 21, Real Madrid and Baskonia grabbed respective victories against Real Betis and Obradoiro.

After this week’s action, Barcelona still leads the race of the standings with a 17-4 record, Real Madrid follows with 16-5, while Zaragoza ranks third with a 15-6 record.
