Sergio Llull scored 12 points in a row in the fourth period and finished with a game-high 19 points overall as Real Madrid beat Bilbao 93 – 83 to punch a ticket to the Spanish Copa del Rey semifinals.

Real Madrid will play against Valencia, that triumphed over Barcelona in the tournament’s opener, for a spot in the title game.

Llull hit one bucket after the other to single-handedly make it 87 – 74 with 3:51 to play and after Bilbao had cut a 15-point third-quarter deficit to 75 – 70, four minutes into the final period. The Basque side never approached closer than seven points in the remainder of the match.

While Llull erupted in a key stretch of the game, Gabriel Deck added 16 points on 8/9 shots and Facu Campazzo provided 13 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. Edy Tavares posted a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Jonathan Rousselle dropped 16 points for Bilbao. Arnoldas Kulboka and Axel Bouteille had 13 points apiece. The latter has been reported to be a target of Real Madrid.
