Real Madrid overcame Malaga on the road after an intense battle.

Real Madrid outlasted Unicaja Malaga with a 92-88 victory on the road in Round 22 of the Spanish ACB League. Jaycee Carroll led the winning side with 17 points, while Usman Garuba turned out to be the man of the game with his game-winning block with only a few seconds left in the game.

Walter Tavares also posted 17 points and 9 rebounds for Pablo Laso’s squad, while Trey Thompkins exited the floor with 14 points.

Josh Adams paced Unicaja‘s effort with a game-high performance of 20 points.

Earlier in Round 22, Barcelona overcame Manresa led by Brandon Davies to remain on top of the standings with an 18-4 record.

Real improved to 17-5 with its second straight victory, Zaragoza bounced back to a 16-6 record, while Tenerife also recovered from last week’s defeat to 14-7.
