The Spanish League will be suspended until April 24 after a unanimous agreement by the clubs

The 18 clubs of the Spanish League held a meeting on Monday (March 16) and reached a unanimous decision to suspend the season until April 24.

The competition had already been postponed prior to this meeting but without a set date and official agreement from clubs about the further progress of the season.  The next meeting will be held in a week, on Monday, March 23.

Per ACB:

THE ACB UNANIMOUSLY AGREES ON THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE ENDESA LEAGUE UNTIL APRIL 24

The acb clubs, meeting on Monday by videoconference, have unanimously agreed to temporarily suspend the Endesa League until April 24, due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19.

The 18 acb clubs have met this Monday by videoconference, constituting an Extraordinary Assembly to unanimously agree to temporarily suspend the Endesa League until next April 24 due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19 and all non-essential professional activities are detained.

Antonio Martín, President of the ACB, highlighted that “the will of all the clubs continues to be to resume the competition and finish the Endesa League 2019-20 to the extent and the times that the situation allows.” In addition, it has noted “the importance of the unanimous support of all the clubs to an exceptional measure such as the temporary suspension of the competition in the face of a situation as serious as the one we are experiencing with this pandemic.”
