Javier Imbroda, former Spanish NT, Unicaja, Real Madrid coach, and current Minister of Education and Sports of the Regional Government of Andalusia, revealed this Wednesday in an interview on Europa Press, as adapted by Marca, that he suffered from coronavirus last March and managed to recover.

“I was lucky that it did not come very strong and I was able to overcome it,” says Imbroda after his recovery, though he was “very concerned about his family and friends”, as he said.

“I see with great sadness everything that has happened with this pandemic that already leaves more than 25,000 deaths in Spain. It is a real outrage all that has happened and how this could have gotten out of hand”, added Imbroda, who in 2017 also managed to recover from a very aggressive form of prostate cancer.
