The tests that Unicaja Malaga members underwent showed one positive for coronavirus.

Unicaja Malaga announced that a member of the squad that will travel to Valencia for the final phase of the Spanish ACB League tested positive for coronavirus. It’s not stated if the person is a player or a member of the coaching staff.

The person is asymptomatic and has been isolated from the rest of the team. Malaga has continued practicing ahead of its trip to Valencia Thursday (9/6) for the 12-team tournament. The final phase of Liga Endesa will take place from June 17 to 26.

UPDATE: Spanish guard Francis Alonso announced that he’s the Malaga member that was tested positive for COVID-19. Alonso had rejoined the team after being loaned to second division club Oviedo.
