Carlos Alocen was named the Best Young Player of the 2019-2020 Spanish ACB League. The 19-year-old guard became the second player to win the award twice in a row, succeeding Luka Doncic’s back-to-back “Best Young Player” achievement.

“Being next to names like Luka Doncic is an honor,” Alocen said per ACB. “I’m grateful.”

Alocen, who plays with Zaragoza on loan from Real Madrid, averaged 7.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.5 rebounds for 7.7 PIR in the ACB regular season plus 7.5 points, 4.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds for 8.3 PIR in the Liga Endesa’s final phase so far. He was voted by the majority of fans, press representatives, players and coaches of the league.

Real Madrid center Usman Garuba was voted second and Joventut Badalona guard Nenad Dimitrijevic third. Bilbao forward Arnoldas Kulboka and Zaragoza guard Vit Krejci were also named to the Best-Five Young Players team.
