Real Madrid is the team to catch in the Spanish league standings

Unscratched through nine ACB games, Real Madrid leads the pack aiming to earn one more “W” Sunday.

UCAM Murcia – Herbalife Gran Canaria 74-78

Former Michigan State standout Matt Costello registered 15 points and Jacob Wiley helped his team get back on the win column with 14. Solid performance from Andrew Albicy as well with 11 points, eight assists, and nine earned fouls.

On to Murcia and its late comeback bid falling short, Conner Frankamp and Emanuel Cate shared a game-high 16 points.

TD Systems Baskonia – RETAbet Bilbao 82-68

Luca Vildoza and Achille Polonara punched in 17 points each, while Rokas Giedraitis finished with 13 for the team based in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The Basque rival struggled to stay in touch despite Jaylon Brown scoring a game-high 19 points.

Real Madrid – Fuenlabrada 79 – 68

Jaycee Carroll dropped 18 points to lead a balanced offensive effort for Real Madrid in the win over Fuenlabrada. The “Blancos” has a strong 28 – 11 quarter to bounce back from a 33 – 40 halftime deficit and get the victory for the 10-0 in the league.

Alberto Abalde and Facu Campazzo scored 13 apiece for Real, Edy Tavares had 12 points and nine rebounds while Trey Thompkins added 11 points. For Fuenlabrada, Melo Trimble (23 points) was the only player in double-digit numbers.

Iberostar Tenerife – Real Betis 77 – 73 

Tenerife returned to wins by prevailed over Real Betis in thriller. Marcelinho Huertas led the hosts with 19 points and ACB October MVP Giorgi Shermadini had 15 points and five rebounds.

Youssou Ndoye (16 points) and TJ Campbell (15 points) were Betis’ top scorers.

Casademont Zaragoza – Manresa 102-103

Scott Eatherton led the way with 20 points for Manresa while Jonathan Tabu added 18 and Dani Perez 14 points.

For Zaragoza, Robin Benzing banked 27 in addition to DJ Seeley’s 22 and Nicolas Brussino’s 21 points.

Movistar Estudiantes – Barcelona 78-92

Artem Pustovyi scored 18 points for the winning side followed by Nikola Mirotic with 14 and Rolands Smits with 12 points.

For Estudiantes, Alec Brown logged 19 and John Roberson 16 points. Aleksa Avramovic added 12.

Valencia – Hereda San Pablo Burgos 81-99

Burgos‘ impressive display was led by Jasiel Rivero who nailed 25 points on 9-11 shooting while Vitor Benite scored 16 on 5-6 from deep and Alex Renfroe 14 points. Renfroe also dished eight assists as did Omar Cook.

Derrick Williams had 15 points on Valencia‘s side while Klemen Prepelic and Louis Labeyrie added 13 each.
